Vanksen is a leading digital and creative agency with offices across Europe, known for delivering bold, high-impact digital experiences for major brands. As the agency underwent a full rebrand and website overhaul, I was brought in to lead the complete redesign of its internal Design System, working in close collaboration with the Art Director responsible for the new visual identity. This project was as much about strategic alignment as it was about craft: designing for designers, within a creative environment where standards are exceptionally high.

The objective was to build a comprehensive, production-ready Design System that could serve as the single source of truth for the agency's entire digital ecosystem. Every component, every state, and every interaction had to feel like a natural and consistent extension of the new brand identity, not merely a functional utility. The system needed to be scalable, collaborative, and immediately actionable for multiple designers working simultaneously across different projects and platforms.

Working hand in hand with the Art Director, I translated the new visual identity into a fully structured Figma library. This meant taking creative decisions around typography, color, motion, and spatial rhythm, and transforming them into a modular system of reusable components. Each element was documented with precision: tag variations, dropdown behaviors, card structures, layout grids covering every breakpoint from mobile to ultra-wide screens. The electric green accent, the dark editorial aesthetic, and the bold typographic system all had to live consistently across components that would eventually be used by multiple designers on live client projects. Attention was given not only to visual fidelity but also to the practical usability of the library itself, ensuring that every designer on the team could navigate, implement, and extend the system with confidence.

The redesigned Design System became the backbone of Vanksen's new digital identity, ensuring visual and functional consistency across the agency's website and all associated platforms. By establishing a shared creative language from the inside out, the project elevated the quality and speed of design production across the team. It also served as a direct reflection of the agency's own standards: a statement that Vanksen holds its internal work to the same level of ambition it brings to every client project.
